USES: Detects fractures and hard-to-find root canal orifices. Methylene blue dye can be a useful aid in endodontic surgery. The differential staining of methylene blue outlines roots, delineates root dentin from bone, demarks isthmuses between two canals in a single root, and outlines cysts for enucleation.
CLINICAL PROCEDURE: To inspect cracks with the microscope, all posterior teeth should be polished or cleaned prior to treatment. The surface or site should be completely dried prior to application. ENDO Check Blue should then be applied using a disposable micro applicator brush / tip. ENDO Check Blue, once thoroughly applied to the area to be assessed, excess and solution remaining on the surface should then be removed
by rinsing and/or swabbing with clean, dry microbrush. ENDO Check Blue will leave crack and fissures stained, outline roots, delineate root dentin from bone, demarks isthmuses between two canals in a single root, and outline cysts for enucleation.
